Rogue One Review

Rogue One has been making waves ever since it came out in December of last year. It has been so popular, that I had the first chance to buying tickets! The way was totally worth it, though. Rogue One is one of the best, if not the best, Star Wars Movie yet.

Even though it is just a Star Wars story, it fits perfectly into the storyline of the Star Wars saga. You may even get a peek at some of the characters that made an appearance in movies 4-6. Disney did amazing at making it seem like the actors in this movie were the exact same as the 1977 episode.

Being a computer nerd, I always look at the graphics and special effects. I hard a hard time figuring out what was computer generated and what was physically on set. The engineers and designers did an outstanding job making everything so lively and realistic. From the cities to the ships to the characters themselves, everything was created perfectly.

It was so hard to pick my favorite anything from the movie. All the characters were developed beautifully. The strong female lead was flawless but had just the right imperfections. The action scenes had me on the edge of my seats. I cried at the deaths and laughed at the jokes. Rogue One had the perfect balance of comedy and action with just a hint of romance to make any love crazy person happy. The only thing I wish there was less of is my emotional attachment to the characters at the end. If you don’t want a K2SO by the end of the movie, you have no heart.

The only thing I didn’t totally love in the movie was Darth Vader. Don’t get me wrong he still was a total bad a** but it just wasn’t the same. In episodes 4-6, Vader had this presence and always towered over everyone in every way possible. This Darth Vader just lacked the presence and the raw power the other one had.

Overall, Rogue One has set the bar high when it comes to Star Wars spin-offs Disney has lined up. The perfections outweighed the flaws so much that it seemed like there was only amazingness. I would highly, highly recommend everyone go watch it!
