Pirates Skull and Crossbones

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man Tell No Tales

Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man Tell No Tales is coming out this Friday! I had the chance to see Pirates last night and oh my goodness! I’m pretty sure I went to sleep singing A Pirates Life for Me.

Even if you have been living under a rock, you have heard of the Pirate of the Carribean story line. Epic sword fights, incredible plots, and a very sassy group of pirates are always ready to entertain. You always wonder if the next movie will be as good, if not better, than the last. The Pirates franchise is still going strong as it adds number 5 to its list of movies.

In Dead Man Tell No Tales, we see many familiar faces along with some new ones. The casting, as with anything Disney does, was spot on. I will say, I couldn’t be happier with their female lead, Carina. She is strong, smart, and sassy while still remaining as graceful as possible while fighting off the dead. There were many side-splitting jokes and one-liners that will make it hard to breathe.

As the story line as progressed through the many Pirates movies, the plot has gradually gotten darker and in some ways has required a more mature and older audience. While there were children as young as 5 in the theater, I would suggest that you take children only if they are older than 10. there were some more intense scenes and one made me jump so high I almost touched the celling.

The costumes and sets were amazing. The CGI and other special effects were top notch. Disney kept true with the clothing and social thoughts at the time which helped add a layer to the plot and the characters themselves.

I would highly recommend Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man Tell No Tale to anyone and everyone. The bigger the screen the better!
