How to Help the TCA

Thoroughbred Charities of America (TCA) provides grants to approved organizations that provide services to off-track-Thoroughbreds. We help rehabilitation, retraining, rehoming, and retirement services for OTTBs. Thoroughbred incentive programs; backstretch and farm worker programs; equine research; and equine-assisted therapy programs that utilize Thoroughbreds are also qualified for grants. With the generous support of our donors, TCA works to assist as many organizations as possible working on behalf of Thoroughbreds and those who care for them.

How can I help TCA help more Thoroughbreds and people?

1- Direct donations are always appreciated! Donations can be made at tca.org and can be made in memoriam or in honor of an individual.

2- TCA’s largest annual fundraiser is an annual stallion season auction. Donations of Thoroughbred stallion seasons or silent auction items are appreciated. Auction sponsorship and advertising opportunities are available.

3- The Thoroughbred Charities of America participates in affinity partnerships with Kroger and Amazon Smile. When you shop at with either organization TCA receives a portion of your purchase. The TCA’s Kroger ID number is 62502.

4-Estate Planning. Please remember TCA when making your estate planning decisions. If naming TCA in your will, you may leave a specific dollar amount or a set percentage of your estate. Please contact us with any questions.

5-Owners’ Pledge. Owners of racehorses can pledge a percentage of purse earnings to the TCA. The pledge form can be found here.

TCA’s grants to approved organizations are only possible because of our generous donors. We do not receive funding from any mandated sources. Please support the one organization that helps many!
