There is nothing better than a nice cold ice cream on a hot day. It’s even better if that ice cream is helping fund cancer research. Graeter’s is make supporting the organization “The Cure Starts Now” easy and tasty with their Cones for the Cure.
The Cure Starts Now is trying to find a cure for cancer by focusing on pediatric brain cancer. From September 8th to the 18th, Graeter’s will be giving away free scoops of Elena’s Blue Berry pie two times during the campaign period to help raise awareness for the research. The ice cream flavor was created to honor Elena Desserich who was the inspiration behind the Cones for the Cure movement.
At participating locations in Cincinnati, Dayton, Cleveland, Chicago, Columbus, Indianapolis, Lexington, Louisville, and Pittsburg, everyone will have the chance to donate $1 or $5. Also, Graeter’s is offering a $20 savings booklet to anyone who chooses to donate $5 or more.
Another part of the campaign is a social media photo contest. Everyone who posts a selfie with their ice cream will be entered to win the title of “Ulitmate Graeter’s Fan” and a Graeter’s Ultimate party pack. Be sure to use the hashtag #conesforthecure! The top 5 photos will be selected by WLWT and 96 Rock by 9/19/16 for final voting by followers of “Cones for the Cure” Facebook site. The picture with the most “likes” wins. The winner will be announced on 10/1/16 on the Cones for the Cure Facebook page.
